1. Secure Socket Layer with real-time encryption: Insight's Catalog is built on Netscape's Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Windows^® Internet Explorer users. The Secure Socket Layer prevents unauthorized access to your personal information. As long as you are using a Secure Socket Layer browser like Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can conduct end-to-end encrypted transactions without fear of an intermediary obtaining your credit card information. SSL is the industry standard for security. If you do not see the Key icon (Netscape) or the Padlock icon (Internet Explorer) it is because the page you are viewing is being displayed within a frame. If you look at the URL for that page you can tell it is an encrypted link by the "s" in "https://..."
2. In addition to the external protection provided by SSL, Insight has its own firewall and hardware. These are designed to prevent others from accessing your data or accessing Insight's internal networks that store your data.
